She was raised Anglican just after the time that King Henry VIII severed the Church of England from communion with the Roman Catholic Church. Witness to the work of covert missionary Catholic priests she converted to Catholicism a few years after marriage. She was condemned to public execution and was crushed to death by her torturers.
