As a child he had a knack for fixing things that were broken. His father wanted his son to be a carpenter. Instead he became a martyr for Christ and his Church. At 6:30pm, on 24 March 1980, in El Salvador, Archbishop Oscar Romero was murdered while celebrating Mass. He was known as "the voice of those without voice."
